Do you have a kink? Or would you like to explore whether something completely unexpected could happen and become the biggest turn on? Learn more about what a kink is and find inspiration for kinky sex in the guide here.

What does kink mean?

Directly translated, the word means 'twisting' or 'twisting' something that is normally 'straight'. Elsewhere, you may see definitions of 'kink' as "sexual practices that go beyond society's ideals" or "the term for a person who has sex in a way that deviates from the "normal". The word 'kink' is a collective term for various types of sexual play and behavior that deviate from the "normal".

What is a kink?

A kink is a desire you have that is 'out of the ordinary': something that turns you on sexually, something that gets you excited, or something you like to do during sex. A kink can be many things, and it is actually misleading that a kink is sometimes defined as something that is 'abnormal'. A kink can be something nice, something you feel is a bit forbidden, something that feels exciting because it's taboo, or something extra naughty because it's your secret.

For the same reason, a kink can also be many things. For some, it might be going to a swinger club, playing with BDSM, or having sex in public. And for others, it can be having sex blindfolded or touching yourself in front of your sex partner.

Maybe you already have a kink or two - maybe you're looking for inspiration to explore what other kinky turn ons are out there. We have made a list for you to explore.

Before you start playing with new kinks: Always remember to make sure that there is consent between you: Check in with each other and be sure that everyone has a good and delicious experience.

1. Try objectification - Objectification is when you like to be treated and 'used' as an object. If it e.g. it turns you on that your partner is using you while you are completely passive and can do whatever they want with you.

2. Watch porn together - Watch porn as a prelude to sex. Or have sex while watching porn. You can also take turns giving each other oral sex in the meantime. Find inspiration in our guide to ethical porn , where we have collected recommendations for porn films that you can watch online.

3. Play with BDSM - Explore domination, submission, sadism and masochism. Maybe you already know if you are turned on by being dominated and you like to be inflicted with pain or if you are turned on by others having control over you. It may also be that you have not considered at all whether it is something for you. Fortunately, we have made the guide 13 good tips for getting started with BDSM for you.

4. Have sex in the open - Because you're actually fine. At least as long as you stay within the law. Sex on the beach, sex in the garden or ... sex on a picnic area? You can read up on what you can and can't do in our guide sex in the open: Here are the rules .

5. Explore Voyeurism - Do you like looking at others? Especially others having sex? Then there is probably a voyeur hidden in you. Voyeurism can also be that you turn on hearing others having sex. Or hearing other people's retellings of their sex experiences is your thing. If you like to look at others - perhaps while masturbating - you must of course be allowed first. It is forbidden to look in through other people's windows. Instead, you can develop your kink in a swinger club, or you can agree with a sex partner, a friend or your girlfriend that you can watch while they have sex with others.

6. Try rimming - Rimming is the ultimate combination of anal sex and oral sex. And you only need three things to get started: Your tongue, your partner's butt and plenty of lubrication in the form of either saliva or lube. A rimjob is oral sex where you lick the anus with your tongue. If you need a little guidance, you can find out more in our blog post8 tips for a good rhyming job .

7. Breath play - Erotic suffocation, it is also called. And let us emphasize right away that we cannot in any way recommend that you experiment with preventing either yourself or your partner from breathing. On the other hand, it can be quite cool to experiment with holding your breath during sex. In this way, you are in full control of your breathing, but at the same time can have the experience of not being able to get air.

8. Bind each other with bondage - if you're not into hard BDSM, but still appeals to being held, bondage might be your kink. There are many different ways to tie each other, and you can practice the knots on e.g. your own leg before tying your partner. You can learn much more about the techniques and what precautions you should take in our guide 10 tips for bondage . You can also geek out even more and delve into Japanese bondage. Learn more in our blog post Shibari: Complete Guide to Japanese Bondage .

9. Experiment with spanking - Getting spanked. It can be done both with a whip or with a flat hand. Start gently and increase the intensity. A good idea is to let the person receiving the slaps decide whether it should be harder or gentler. Some even believe that spanking triggers "feel good substances" such as dopamine, oxytocin and endorphins in the brain . This is a kink where it is important that you look out for each other so that no one gets hurt. And if you use a whip, make sure it is one made for the purpose - never use a whip made for animals.
